A team
of students from Gaeddu College took part in the Inter-college debate
competition held on 22 September at Royal Thimphu College. The event
was intended to mark the upcoming Royal wedding.
The debate
was held between Royal Thimphu College (RTC) and the Gaeddu College of BusinessStudies comprised of four participants from each team.Two teams debated on the topic: “The Standard of Education is
declining in Bhutan.” And the theme of the debate was: “Transforming Higher
Education through Reasoned Public Discourse.”
Gaeddu College after having presented
views supporting the topic was finally declared winner by a panel of judges while Ms Kezang Choden
was also awarded best speaker title. The other three participants who represented Gaeddu were: Bindhya Pokhrel; Pema and Thukten Karma Tshering.

I enjoyed the debate thoroughly and indubitably Gaeddu students were extremely good. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Singay for going through the article....Yap they(GCBS participants) are always very fluent. And their opponents were not bad if we really go by the score. I know they lost just by a little difference.
